Emily Griffin - Reflection thoughts on outside article
While I have been working on my research project for my CSE Fellowship on sustainable housing. I have been looking at the many homes in Rodanthe in the Outer Banks that are collapsing into the sea. “Reporter Liz McLaughlin reports beach erosion, high winds and king tides are pushing vulnerable homes to their breaking point along the Outer Banks.” It is scary to think about how much land/ surface area we are starting to lose because of sea level rise and global warming. I mean in my Anthropology class we learned that in the Pleistocene sea levels were 150 meters lower than what they are today and exposed a lot more land/ surface and now to think that we are beginning to lose land is scary.
