Morgen Wood-Koaanisqatsi

The film "Koaanisqatsi" is a powerful commentary on the state of modern civilization. What stands out about the film is how it conveys its message without words and relays solely on the power of its imagery. Koaanisqatsi's cinematography and time-lapse techniques perfectly capture the speeding, unrelenting ways of modernity. The accompanying score by Philip Glass further emphasizes the tension between progress and its consequences. Godfrey Reggio's film left me with a unsettling feeling, challenging me to question humanitys technological advancements, our disregard for the environment, and the loss of a simpler way of life.
