Trevor Brooks- Environmental Ethics

The article "Rachel Carson's Environmental Ethics" by Philip Cafaro talks about Rachel Carson, a scientist and writer who cared deeply about nature. She believed people have a responsibility to take care of the environment because we are part of it, not separate from it. Carson thought it was wrong to harm nature just to make money or for convenience. She wanted people to think about the long term effects of their actions on the planet. Her book Silent Spring warned about the dangers of using chemicals like pesticides and how they hurt animals, plants, and even humans. Cafaro explains how Carson’s ideas teach us to respect nature and live in a way that protects it for future generations. Her work has inspired many people to care more about the environment and make better choices to keep it healthy.
